Without a Paddle Hotel
✓ VerifiedVoi Score 90Guests describe Without a Paddle as the room they did not expect to find on a Welsh high street — small, characterful and run by people who plainly enjoy running it. The welcome and the rooms themselves draw the strongest praise, and the location does the rest: the bridge, the canal and the steam railway are all inside five minutes on foot. The recurring caveat is the building rather than the hotel — sound carries between rooms at night, there is no lift to the top floor, and Bridge Street has nowhere to leave a car.

“Spotless from the skirting boards up. You can tell someone actually looks at these rooms rather than just cleaning them.”
